Delete my data
You can have your player account and everything attached to it permanently removed. This page exists so you can do that without installing anything or creating an account.
How to request deletion
Email support@bytebrewit.com with the subject Delete my data. What we need depends on how you play.
If you have an account, send the request from the email address the account uses. That is enough to identify you and we will delete the account itself along with everything below.
If you play as a guest, include your player ID - a guest profile has nothing else attached to it, so that identifier is the only way to find your records.
Finding your player ID (guest players)
Open Grave Dividend, go to Settings, and copy the Player ID shown there. A guest profile has no email address or username attached to it, so this identifier is the only way we can find your records.
If you have already uninstalled the game and cannot retrieve the ID, tell us your leaderboard display name and roughly when you last played, and we will do our best to locate the record.
What gets deleted
- Your account, including the email address and password, if you created one
- Your anonymous player ID
- Your leaderboard display name, and your entries on every leaderboard
- Your profile: best score, best round, lifetime statistics
- Every recorded run
- Your Dividend balance, the full transaction ledger, and all Portfolio perks you own
Deletion is permanent. Progress, leaderboard positions and purchased perks cannot be restored afterwards, and starting to play again creates a brand new anonymous account.
What is kept, and why
We retain a minimal record that a deletion request was made and completed, because we are required to be able to show that we honoured it. That record contains no gameplay data and no display name.
How long it takes
We confirm receipt within 5 working days and complete deletion within 30 days. Backup copies containing your records are cycled out within a further 30 days.
Deleting only the app
Uninstalling Grave Dividend removes everything stored on the device itself, including your level progress and settings. It does not remove the server-side records listed above, and it does not delete an account - use the email request for those.
