Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and ByteBrew IT LLC covering your use of the Grave Dividend mobile game. By installing or playing, you accept them.
1. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Grave Dividend on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. The game and everything in it remain our property.
2. Your account
The game signs you in as a guest automatically. Guest progress is tied to the device you play on: we hold nothing that identifies you, so we cannot recover it if you lose that device, and it does not transfer to another one.
You may optionally create an account with an email address and a password. Progress attached to an account does transfer between devices. You are responsible for keeping the password secure and for the accuracy of the address you register, and you must not create an account for anyone else or share your credentials.
3. Display names
The leaderboard name you choose is public. It must not impersonate another person, contain personal information about anyone, promote hatred or violence against a group, or be obscene. We may reset any name that breaks these rules, without notice.
4. Fair play
Scores are validated and settled on our servers. You agree not to modify the game, intercept or fabricate network traffic, use automation, or otherwise submit results you did not earn by playing. Runs that fail validation are marked ineligible for leaderboards, and accounts used to submit fabricated results may have their scores removed or be blocked.
5. Dividend has no cash value
Dividend, Portfolio perks and every other in-game item are a licence to use features inside the game. They are not property, not currency, and have no monetary value. They cannot be bought with real money, sold, exchanged, cashed out or transferred. We may change costs, balance or availability as part of normal game updates.
6. Multiplayer conduct
Public Quick Play puts you in sessions with strangers. Treat them decently. We may block accounts that harass other players or deliberately ruin sessions.
7. Updates and availability
We may update, change or discontinue the game or any of its features. We may also take servers offline for maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features that depend on our servers - leaderboards, Portfolio and co-op - will not work while they are down.
8. Ending the agreement
You may stop at any time by uninstalling the game and, if you wish, requesting deletion of your data. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost progress, scores or in-game items. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer you keep all rights your local law gives you.
10. Apple and Google
Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no responsibility for the game. On iOS, Apple may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary. Your use is also subject to the rules of the store you installed from.
11. Changes
We may revise these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and continuing to play after that means you accept the revision.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
